Three Arrested For Drug Possession After Fleeing From Cops Last night around 10:04pm, members from District C-6 Drug Control Unit were in the area of the Broadway T Station. Officers observed a pick-up truck stop and a male exit from the rear seat of vehicle counting money. Officers observed the front passenger looking at something the rear passenger had in his hand. Officers believing that a drug transaction had taken place followed the pick-up truck. The vehicle was operating at a speed greater than reasonable failing to stop for a stop sign at Old Colony Rotary. Offices performed a traffic stop and the vehicle was pulled over by the JKF T-station. As officers approached the vehicle on foot the vehicle fled from police in the direction of Dorchester Avenue. State police and Boston Police followed the vehicle down Columbia Road and turning left onto Pond Street in the wrong direction. The pick-up struck two other vehicles causing the pick-up to flipping onto its side.
Justine Mignosa, 19, of Rockland and Mathew Tierney, 23 of Quincy were both arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A with in 1000’ of a School Zone, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B within 1000’ of a School Zone and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B.
Also arrested was Stephen J. Dinan, 20, of Braintree Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A with in 1000’ of a School Zone, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B within 1000’ of a School Zone, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B and Failure to Stop for a Police Officer. Officers recover crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, a scale and cash from the suspects.
Firearm Arrest Lands Three In Jail
This morning at 1:09am, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person with a gun at 225 Bowdoin Street. On arrival, officers were informed that two males were arguing in a parking lot and one male claimed to have a gun. Officers received additional information that the suspect left the scene driving a blue vehicle.
Officers observed a vehicle matching the description at Bowdoin and Hamilton Streets. Officers performed a traffic stop and the vehicle was pulled over on Coleman Street. Officers informed the driver why the traffic stop was made and requested his license and registration. Further investigation revealed the driver was operating with a suspended license. Officers also observed one individual sitting in the front passenger seat matching the description of the male claiming to have a gun. Officers observed a butt of a firearm protruding from underneath the console. Three Dorchester residents were arrested Damek Barros, 19, Rolando Sequeria, 21, and Manuel Fernandes, 25 were all charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Mr. Fernandes was also charged with Operating after Suspension. Officers did recover a loaded firearm.
Person Shot at 488 Quincy Street
This morning around 2:08am, officers from District 11 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 488 Quincy Street. On arrival, officers located a 47-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim stated he was coming home from a party when he observed three black males standing by his house smoking marijuana. The victim stated he confronted the men and a physical altercation ensued. At that time, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for a non-life threatening injury. All three suspects fled the scene on foot running up Quincy Street.
