Shrimp Taste on No Money BudgetAbout 2:48pm yesterday, officers from District A-7 (East Boston) responded to a radio call for a shoplifter at Shaw’s Supermarket located at 246 Border Street.
On arrival officers learned that the suspect had been observed carrying 2 bags of shrimp out of the store past the cash registers. The suspect, David Sheldon, 48, of Chelsea was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.
Drinking in Public Costs More Than the Alcohol
At approximately 4:53pm officers from District 4 (South End) were on patrol in the Copley Square area were they observed an individual sitting on a bench drinking alcohol from a pint size bottle. The individual turned around and observed officers approaching and quickly finished drinking the rest of the liquor from the bottle. The suspect, Shanon Welch, 40, of Boston was arrested and charged with Drinking in Public.
Suspect Arrested For Shooting at Passing Car
Yesterday, Thursday, May 24, 2007 at approximately 7:55pm, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the intersection of Quincy St. and Stanley St. for shots fired.
There, officers located ballistic evidence and observed the victim’s car to have numerous gunshot holes. Officers then spoke to the victim’s who indicated that the suspect was observed to have entered apartment two of 34 Stanley St. after firing several shots at their passing car. The Entry and Apprehension Team responded to 34 Stanley St. in hopes of locating the suspect from the shooting inside the house. Officers formed a perimeter around the house and secured the house by having all occupants exit to ensure their safety. Officers entered the house and located an individual inside the house matching the suspect description and detained him to ascertain whether or not he was the person that had fired the shots at the passing victims. The detained individual was positively identified by both victims. Suspect, Travis S. Kingsberry, 23, of Dorchester was placed under arrest and charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
Further conversation with the victims revealed that they initially drove past 34 Stanley St. and observed the suspect seated on the stairs with several other individuals including some children. The victims then reported that they accidentally ended up on a dead end street, due to a disturbance on Stanley Street. The victims turned their car around and as they drove down the street to pass the suspect a second time observed him walking toward them and staring at them. The victims stated as they drove toward the suspect, they observed him remove a gun from his waistband and fire numerous shots at their car.
