Exuberant Fan Gets Arrested for Running on Field During GameAt about 4:59pm on Sunday, May 13, 2007, officers performing a detail at Fenway Park arrested suspect, Michael Baggott, 37, of East Haven and charged him with Trespassing and Disturbing a Public Assembly.
The suspect was placed under arrest when he jumped onto the field during the ninth inning and ran across the field toward the Red Sox bullpen. The suspect was stopped by Red Sox security and arrested by officers on the field. During the booking process, the suspect stated that he was at the game with his father and seven year old son. He further stated that he engaged in the stunt of running across the field to impress his son.
Man Electrocuted “Removing Knife from Electrical Cable”
At approximately 10:01 am yesterday morning, Sunday May 13, 2007, officers from District D-14 (/Allston/Brighton) responded to a radio call for an unknown incident possibly involving a person burned by electric shock.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated to officers that he was shocked and burned while attempting to remove a knife embedded in an electrical cable. The victim reported that when he attempted to remove the knife an explosion took place burning him about the face, head, arms and torso. The victim stated that he had stumbled down the street where someone dialed 911 on his behalf. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital by ambulance for treatment with serious injuries. District detectives will further investigate this incident.
Off-Duty Officer Intercedes in Armed Robbery
Officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) yesterday morning around 10:20am arrested suspects, Zayede T. Michael, 18, of Roxbury and Deanna M. Butler, 18, of Dorchester and charged them with Armed Robbery.
An off-duty officer traveling on Talbot Ave. observed one female being assaulted by two other young females. The off-duty officer intervened in the assault.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was walking on Talbot Ave. when she was approached from behind by suspects Butler and Michael who asked to use her cell phone. The victim answered the suspects request stating that she could not let them use her phone because she was low on minutes. Suspect Michael then responded and stated to the victim “We’re about to rob you of your phone and if you don’t want to get jumped, you better give it up!” The victim refused to give up her phone and was immediately grabbed around the neck by suspect Butler while suspect Michael attempted to grab the victim’s cell phone. During the assault, the suspects placed a knife to the victim’s neck and robbed her of her cell phoneand sunglasses.
Suspect Michael attempted to flee and was soon located and arrested. She was also found to be in possession of the victim’s sunglasses. The knife used during the robbery was recovered from suspect Butler.
Reckless Driver Lands in Jail After Trying to Run Over Officer
About 2:30pm yesterday officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) in the area of Dacia St. observed a motor vehicle operating the wrong way on Brookford St. Officers stepped into the roadway and attempted to flag down the vehicle for the infraction. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, but rather sped up almost striking the officer. The officer jumped onto the sidewalk to avoid being hit. The motor vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed showing no regard to the rules of the road.
Officers followed the car to the intersection of Dove St. and Blue Hill Ave., where the operator of the car abandoned the car and fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspect, catching him after a brief foot pursuit.
The suspect, Anthony Taylor, 43, of Mattapan was arrested and charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Failure to Stop for Police, Operating After Suspension, Resisting Arrest, and a host of other traffic violations. In addition, the car that the suspect was operating was found to have a damaged ignition, but had not been reported stolen.

Yesterday, Sunday May 13, 2007 around 3:20pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to 45 Slayton St. in Roxbury for a fight.
There, officers spoke to the victim and witness who stated that the suspect came up to the victim and just started fighting with him for no reason. The victim and witness stated that during the fight, the suspect pulled out a taser and shocked the victim rendering him incapable of moving. Officers observed some bruising to the victim’s side, and two small prick wounds. Officers then arrested suspect, Lixbell Martinez, 20, of Roxbury and charged him with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. Officers were unable to locate the taser used to assault the victim.
