Three Arrested for TrespassingLast night around 6:48pm, officers from District 6 while patrolling the area of the Old Colony Housing Development observed 3 individuals standing in the hallway of 266 E 9th Street. Officers requested assistance to conduct a FIO of the three individuals. The three individuals fled into the building upon seeing the officers. Officers located the first suspect coming down the stairs from the second landing and the second suspect was coming from the rooftop landing. Officers conducted a protective sweep of the area and stairwell. Officers observed a traffic cone on the top step leading to the roof. Officers lifted the cone and observed a knife and a police scanner. Officers also recovered two small bags of what appeared to be marijuana on the steps where one of the suspect’s was standing. Marcus Smith, 18, of Roxbury along with two juvenile males ages 15 and 16 were arrested and charged with Trespassing. Officers recovered drugs, police scanner, black mask and a knife.
Suspect Apprehended After Breaking into Vehicle
Last night around 11:20pm, officers from District 4 responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering motor vehicle in progress at 413 Mass Ave. Officers were informed that the suspect was still inside the motor vehicle in the parking lot behind 413 Mass Ave. On arrival, officers observed the driver’s side window smashed and an unknown black male seated behind the wheel. As officers exited their cruiser, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot down Columbia Road.
Officers jumped the fence and pursued the suspect through the parking lot into 599 Columbia Road. Further investigation revealed that the door the suspect entered led to a laundry room. Officers conducted a search of the room but did not locate the suspects. A subsequent search of the courtyard was conducted and officers observed the suspect lying on the second floor landing with a black jacket covering his face in an attempt to conceal himself. James Stokes, 39, Roxbury was arrested and charged with Trespassing and Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. Officers located the victim who responded and did not believe any items were taken.

At 12:35am, this morning officers from District 6 responded to 36 O Street on a report of two suspicious people. On arrival, officers found the front door ajar, and located two males inside. Further investigation revealed that both males did not reside at the residence and could not produce any identification. A check of the apartment revealed the rear porch window was smashed and covered with a quilt. Amaru Salvatore, 24 and John Powers, 22, both of Medford was arrested and charged with Unarmed Breaking and Entering.
