Boston Police Neighborhood Drug Units Make Substantial Drug Arrests

Members of the Area E, C and B Drug Units in conjunction with the Drug Control Unit are pleased to announce significant drug seizures and arrests in several Boston neighborhoods.Police Commissioner Ed Davis stated, “Our drug units continue to work very hard to curb illegal drug activity. The Boston Police Department will do everything within its power to arrest individuals who sell drugs in our community.”
· On March 20, 2007, officers from the Area C Neighborhood Drug Unit arrested Mark Crump, 35, of Dorchester for Distribution of Class B Drugs and Distribution of Class B Drugs within 1000 feet of a School Zone.
· On March 21, 2007, officers from the Area B Neighborhood Drug Unit executed a search warrant at 40 Rockdale Street in Mattapan. As a result of the search, officers arrested Prince Alec Calhoun, 30, of Mattapan and charged him with Possession and the Intent to Distribute Class D and B Drugs & Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
· On March 20, 2007, officers from the Area E Neighborhood Drug Unit and the Drug Control Unit arrested Emilio Luis Franco, 39, of Dorchester and charged him with Trafficking Class A Drugs within 1,000 feet of a School Zone, the Distribution of Class A Drugs Within 1,000 feet of a School Zone. The following individuals were arrested and charged with Possession of Class A Drugs: Jennifer Pratt, 34, of Keene, New Hampshire, Nathan Wayne Pratt, 33, of Keene, New Hampshire and Raymond Earl Pratt, 37, of Keene, New Hampshire.
As previously announced, drug units have been returned to neighborhood district stations throughout the city in an effort to provide each community with additional drug investigation resources and enhance quality of life for all city residents.
