DAILY INCIDENTS FOR MARCH 15

MULTIPLE GUNS TAKEN OFF THE STREETAt about 2:05pm, on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call at 135 Tonawanda Street at the request of a constable who was at that address serving an eviction notice. The notice allows the constable to legally enter the premise. According to the constable, once inside the premise, he observed a firearm and what appeared to be marijuana. As a result of the constable’s observations, officers were then able to secure a search warrant for the above address. Once inside the address, officers were able to recover the following: (1) one Beretta .32 caliber semi-automatic firearm (2) one 20-gauge shotgun (3) one Ruger .22 caliber rifle. In addition to the above, officers also recovered several rounds of ammunition, various amounts of a Class D Substance (marijuana) and other drug paraphernalia. As a result the items recovered, the following charges: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (3 counts) and Possession of a Class D Substance With the Intent to Distribute are being brought against the tenant of the apartment.
ROBBERY SUSPECT APPREHENDED
At about 9:40pm, on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, an officer performing a paid detail at 600 Washington Street in Boston was approached by a victim who told him that he had just been robbed. The victim then gave the officer a description of the suspect. According to the victim, a black male, wearing a white hat, showed him a knife and demanded all of his money. While officers were searching the area, they observed an individual fitting the description provided by the victim. The suspect was then brought back to the victim for identification purposes. After the victim was able to positively identify the suspect, Mark Robinson, 30, of Winthrop was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
TAGGER ARRESTED
About 10:30pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, an officer performing a paid detail at 950 Boylston Street in the Back Bay responded to a radio call for a graffiti incident at 939 Boylston Street (The Cactus Bar). On arrival, witnesses told officers that they saw a white male painting on the walls inside the establishment’s bathroom. When officers approached the suspect, officers observed blue paint on the hands of the individual. The color of the paint on the suspect’s hands matched the color of the graffiti inside the bathroom. David Celani, 24, of Natick was arrested and charged with Damage to Property By Graffiti.
