About 1:30pm today, officers from District 11 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 72 Olney Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located an 18-year old female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. A short while after arriving at the hospital, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced.The Homicide Unit is investigating this incident.
