Angry Double Parker Assaults Tow Truck Driver with OilAbout 1:12pm yesterday, officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in progress in the parking lot of the Citizen’s Bank located at 566 Columbia Road.
On arrival officers observed the tow truck driver attempting to restrain the operator of a car parked in the lot. Officers spoke to both parties and determined that the suspect became angry after she was asked to move her double parked by the tow truck driver. The operator of the double-parked car became belligerent and verbally assaultive despite the fact that the tow truck driver opted to ask her to move rather than tow her car. At some point during the verbal assault, the operator of the car, Gwendolyn K. Cordero, 18, of Boston assaulted the victim by throwing oil at him. The suspect was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to wit: oil.
Two Suspects Arrested for Possession of Replica Firearms
About 2:02pm yesterday, officers from District 18 responded to the area of 655 Metropolitan Ave. for a report of two males observed in possession of firearms. The caller had become quite alarmed by the presence of these two males armed and walking in the street with firearms visibly displayed. Officers responded to the area after being given a description of the suspects and located two individuals matching the suspect descriptions. Officers detained the two individuals and conducted an investigation during which they discovered both to be in possession of replica firearms. Officers arrested a 14-year-old male from Mattapan and a 14 year old from Dorchester and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Parking Enforcement Officer Assaulted by Angry Ticketed Driver
About 3:01pm yesterday, officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in progress at Malcolm X Blvd. and Shawmut Ave.
On arrival officers spoke to a parking enforcement officer who reported that the driver of a motor vehicle had assaulted her. The victim stated that she issued a parking violation to the suspect after he failed to move his car after being asked to do so. The victim reported that when the suspect failed to move his car, she wrote him a ticket, and he started calling her derogatory names and got in his car. The victim stated that the suspect then put the car in drive striking her as she attempted to place the ticket on his windshield. Suspect, Olivio R. Lobo, 50, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Assault and Battery on a Public Employee.
Four Suspects Arrested for Possession of Firearms
About 10:30pm last night, officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force (YVSF) arrested the below noted individuals and charged them with the following charges:
1. Anthony Lee, 25, of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Speeding, Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension, Exhibiting a False License.
2. Curtis Taylor, 24, of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
3. Kyrice Grady, 21, of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
4. Hasson Prioleau, 19, of Roxbury and charged him Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
This arrest was initiated when officers, while in front of YVSF base located at 364 Warren St. in Roxbury heard the sound of gunshots in the area of Charlame Street, a couple hundred feet from their location. Officers immediately responded to the area of Dale and Warren St. to further investigate when they observed a motor vehicle heading directly toward them at a high rate of speed with multiple occupants. Officers followed this vehicle as the operator continued to drive erratically at a high rate of speed until it came to a stop.
Officers approached the vehicle and made note that the front passenger leaned forward as they approached and quickly returned to a normal seated position. Officers, on approaching the car, observed numerous open beer cans in the vehicle and requested of the operator his license. The operator of the car provided officers with someone else’s license, providing a false registry document. Based on the facts and circumstances, the gunshots officers heard just prior to observing the car speeding from the scene, officers removed all the occupants from the car and further investigated. On further investigation, officers recovered from the car two loaded firearms. The suspects will be arraigned at Roxbury District Court on Monday, March 5, 2007.
Partygoer Assaults Officers When Party Comes to Early End
This morning around 12:49am, officers from District 2 on patrol in the Mission Hill area responded to 10 Copenger St. after hearing a female screaming. Officers are routinely assigned to that area due to continuous complaints of loud college parties. There, officers heard loud music and partygoers. Officers entered the house and observed about seventy-five people inside drinking and partying. Officers sought out the lessees of the house and requested that the music be turned off and the guest asked to leave. As the partygoers started to leave officers encountered one individual who did not want the party to be over. This individual started yelling at officers and refused to leave the party. The officers attempted to escort the belligerent partygoer out when she assaulted officers by kicking them while donning combat boots. Officers arrested Elizabeth Russell, 19, of Boston and charged her with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
