B&E Suspect Breaks Into House After Knocking on DoorYesterday afternoon around 2:41pm, officers from District 2 responded to a call for a breaking and entering in progress at 114 Mt. Pleasant Ave. in Roxbury. On arrival officers spoke to the victim who reported a described male came to her door, knocked and asked for a person unknown to her. The victim reported that she told the person that the sought individual did not live there and closed her door. A short while later, the victim reported that she heard a loud sound and found her front door busted open. The victim next observed the suspect running down her stairs. A description of the suspect was broadcast and a short while later officers located an individual matching the suspect description a short distance from the incident. The suspect, Arthur Flood, 37, of Roxbury was positively identified by the victim, placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering.
B&E Suspect Apprehended with Help Of Civilian Witness
About 6:40pm yesterday, officers from District 4 responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress at Massachusetts Ave. and Huntington Ave. As officers arrived on scene, they were immediately flagged down by a witness. The witness pointed to a male who was walking past him and told officers that he was the one that had broken into the car. The victim reported to officers that he had observed the suspect break into a car and remove a briefcase from the car. The witness then followed the suspect from a distance until officers arrived and placed the suspect under arrest. Officers were able to recover a laptop stolen from the car from the suspect as well as a screwdriver used by him as a burglarious tool. Officers arrested Miguel A. Morales, 38, of East Boston and charged him with Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Burglarious Tool.
Career Criminal Arrested with a Firearm
Last night around 11:10pm, officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested suspect, Andrick J. Wilkins, 19, of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and with being an Armed Career Criminal.
Officers were in the area of Washington St. and Morse St. when they drove past a group standing on that corner. As officers approached, they observed the suspect appear to pass something to a female companion. Officers continued their approach and as they neared the group, the suspect took off running. Officers pursued the suspect and during the foot chase observed the suspect discard a firearm. Officers, after a lengthy foot pursuit, successfully stopped the suspect and placed him under arrest. Officers subsequently returned to where they had observed the suspect discard the firearm and recovered the firearm.
