BAD HAIR ‘PRODUCTS’ DAYAbout 11:17am, on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, officers from District A-1 responded to a radio call for a shoplifting incident at the CVS on Summer Street. On arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated they saw the suspect, Patricia Doherty, 46, of Arlington, remove 18 items of Paul Mitchell Hair Products and place them in her pocket book. The 18 hair products were valued at a total of $335.00. Doherty was then arrested and charged with Shoplifting.
APPREHENDED FOR PUNCHING A POLICE OFFICER
About 3:05pm, on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, officers from District D-4 responded to a radio call asking them to remove an individual from the Boston Public Library on Boylston Street. On arrival, officers spoke to library security officers who stated there was a man on the property refusing to leave. When officers approached the individual in question, the individual, slumped over in front of a computer, appeared to be sound asleep. As a result, officers attempted to wake the individual. When the suspect did awake, he again, refused to exit the building. Officers informed the suspect that if continued to ignore their requests, they would be left with no other option other than to physically remove him from the premise. Again, the suspect became loud and aggressive. Left with no other option, the officers began escorting the suspect from the library. As officers were leading the suspect towards the exit, the suspect turned suddenly and struck one of the officers in the head. Derek Frohock, 19, was then arrested and charged with Trespassing, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.

About 9:15pm, on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, officers from District B-2 responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress on Quincy Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers observed an individual who matched the description of the suspect. As a result, officers approached the individual. For their safety, they asked the individual to take his hands out of his pockets. When the suspect complied, officers noted that the individual’s right pocket drooped considerably lower than his left pocket, indicating to officers that the pocket contained a heavy object. As a result, officers then conducted a pat frisk of the suspect’s outer clothing. During which, officers recovered a black revolver with a wood handle. Officers then arrested Daniel Coke, 28, of Dorchester, and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
