APPREHENDED FOR BREAKING AND ENTERINGAbout 6:30am, on Thursday, February 8, 2007, officers from District A-7 responded to a radio call for a residential alarm on Lexington Street in East Boston. On arrival, officers observed a white male, David Diluigi, 37, of East Boston, walking out from behind the location. Officers then asked Diluigi what he was doing in the backyard of the location. To which, Diluigi replied, “I just saw 2 white guys break into the basement .. jump the fence .. while carrying 2 large hockey bags.” Officers continued to question the suspect, and with each passing question, the suspect’s answers began conflicting more and more. Diluigi told officers that he had just come out of his apartment when he saw the 2 white males break into the location. But, when officers went to the suspect’s residence, the suspect’s brother told officers that the suspect hadn’t been around for days. Suspect’s brother then told officers, “I’ve been up since 3:30am and I haven’t seen my brother (the suspect) enter or leave this address.” Diluigi was then arrested and charged with Trespassing and Breaking and Entering a Dwelling during the Daytime.

About 1:56pm, on Thursday, February 8, 2007, officers from District B-2 observed a motor vehicle driving the wrong way down a one way street. As a result, officers activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) in an attempt to stop the vehicle. When the operator of the vehicle saw the officers, she gave officers “the finger” (or displayed her middle finger) and then proceeded to put her car in reverse. At this point, officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but, the operator, still giving officers “the finger”, refused to comply. Finally, the motor vehicle did come to a stop. At which time, officer arrested, Camelia Davis, 27, of Dorchester, and charged her with Refusing to Submit to a Police Officer.

About 3:30am, on Friday, February 9, 2007, officers from District B-2 observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Norfolk Street in Roxbury. Officers then activated their emergency equipment (lights & sirens) in an attempt to stop the motor vehicle. While attempting to stop the car, officers observed the vehicle fail to stop for several stop signs and/or red lights. Officers then observed the motor vehicle turn the wrong way down a one way street. Midway down the street, the motor vehicle finally came to a stop, turning into a driveway. Corey Montgomery, 29, of Dorchester, was then arrested and charged with Refusing to Submit to a Police Officer, Reckless Operation (To Wit: Speeding, Failure to Stop for a Stop Sign, Failure to Stop for a Red Light, Going the Wrong Way on a One Way Street). When asked why he refused to stop for police officers, Montgomery said matter of factly, “I had to use the bathroom, officer.”
