At about 5:50am, on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, officers from District 3 responded to a radio call for person shot at 7 Verndale Street in Mattapan. Prior to the officers’ arrival, the victim had been transported to Boston Medical Center where he is currently listed in critical condition. Investigators have determined that the victim was exiting a residence and attempting to enter a vehicle when he was struck multiple times by gunfire.
