Suspect Arrested with Firearm and Marijuana While Exiting Convenient StoreYesterday around 4:47pm, officers from District 13 arrested suspect, Luis O. Torres, 19, Jamaica Plain and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Class D, Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute in a School Zone.
Officers were patrolling in the area of School St. and Boylston St. when they first observed the suspect. The suspect, having also observed the officers, quickly walked into a convenient store. Officers continued to patrol the area and again observed the suspect as he exited the store. Officers approached the suspect to engage him in conversation and asked the suspect if he had anything on him that officers should be concerned about with. The suspect answered officers stating “You know I never have anything on me!” Officers conducted a pat frisk for officer safety and during the pat frisk felt recovered a loaded firearm. After being placed under arrest, suspect was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
Two Suspects Arrested and Charged with Trafficking Class B
Around 8:00pm last night, officers from Area E (Jamaica Plain, Roslindale and West Roxbury) Drug Unit arrested suspects Byron Trigueros a.k.a. Milton Belteton, 38, of Hyde Park and Michael J. Condon, 25, of Brighton and charged them with Trafficking Class B, and Trafficking Class B within a School Zone. In addition, suspect, Trigueros/Belteton was found to have several warrants charging him Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child Under 14, Threats to Commit a Crime, Violation of an Active Restraining Order, Statutory Rape of a Child, and 4 counts of Intimidation of a Witness.
Last night, officers from the Area E Drug Unit were making observations of a location known for street level drug sales when they observed occupants from two cars engaged in what they believed to be a drug transaction. Officers stopped one of the two cars and during that stop recovered a substantial amount of drugs believed to be cocaine. The drugs were seized as well as US currency, and several cell phones.
Two Suspects Arrested Trying to Break into a Building
Today at 1:23am, officers from District 3 responded to 4 Shandon Rd. in Dorchester for a breaking and entering in progress. While en route, officers were given a description of the suspects and informed that the suspects had entered the building. On arrival, officers observed a chair and milk crate outside of a tampered window. Officers proceeded to the stairwell entrance and immediately heard individuals running up the stairwell. Officers pursued the suspects up four flights of stairs and onto the roof of the building where the suspects escaped capture by going back into the building through another hatch. Other units responded to assist officers on scene and successfully arrested the suspects in the area of the building. Suspects, Timothy Foss, 20, of Framingham and Jose Ortiz, 20, of Dorchester were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime, and Possession of Burglarious Tools for items located on their person after arrest.
