Despite the mild temperatures, Operation Deep Freeze was conducted on Monday in the downtown area making a total of four arrests and one summons. This operation is an organized plan that uses undercover officers from District 1 and the Drug Control Unit to arrest drug dealers who are adversely affecting the quality of life for residents and tourist in the downtown area. Nicholas M Durfee, 26, of Boston was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Drugs, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A within 1000’ of a School Zone. Michael Roger Nichols, 50, of Boston was arrested for Distribution Class A, and Distribution Class A within 1000’ of a School Zone. Deirdre D. Souza, 35, of Allston was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B within 1000’ of a School Zone. Donnell Bailey, 35, of Malden was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B within 1000’ of a School Zone. A fifth suspect, 28-year-old male from Dorchester, will be summonsed to the Boston Municipal Court for Distribution of Class B and Distribution of Class B within 1000’ of a School Zone.The arrested suspects will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court on Tuesday.
