DAILY INCIDENTS FOR JANUARY 2, 2007

Two Arrested Pursuant to Call for Person with a KnifeAt approximately 1:08pm, officers from District 3 responded to a call for a person with a knife at 72 Babson St. While en route, officers were advised that the suspect may be armed with a gun as opposed to a knife and given a description of the suspects motor vehicle.
Officers, on arrival, observed the described motor vehicle leaving the scene and conducted a traffic stop. As officers approached the car, they observed the rear passenger moving about frantically despite officers’ commands for all occupants to display their hands. All occupants of the car were removed due to the nature of the call. Officers immediately observed a firearm where the moving suspect had been seated upon removing him. Officers arrested suspect, Christian Teixera, 21, of Mattapan and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Body Armor Used in the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of Class D. Another passenger in the car, Larry Lamar, 23, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property, and Threats based on testimony given by the caller/victim.
Three Suspects Arrested at Call for B&E, One with a Firearm
Yesterday around 9:10pm, officers from District 11 along with members of the Youth Violence Task Force arrested Akeem Edwards, 19, of Dorchester and charged him with Breaking and Entering, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. In addition officers arrested William Bloudson, 29, and Howard E. Carty, 22, of Dorchester and also charged them with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime.
Officers responded to 216 Westville St. for a breaking and entering in progress. There, officers went to the second floor and observed the door to be opened and could hear movement inside. Officers entered the apartment and initiated contact with one of the suspects while a second suspect quickly went back to the room he had just exited. Officers secured the three individuals located in the apartment and inspected the bedroom that the suspect had re-entered upon seeing the police. In that room, officers recovered a loaded firearm. All three individuals were arrested and charged with the above noted offenses.
Driver Arrested After Drawing Attention of Officer
This morning around 2:05am, officers from District 3 conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle at 1443 Blue Hill Avenue. The traffic stop was conducted after the suspect motor vehicle came to a sudden stop while traveling in front of a marked police cruiser and double parked without moving. During the traffic stop, the operator had no license on his person and gave officers a name and date of birth. Further questioning and investigation by officers revealed that the operator had a suspended license and was in possession of several bags of crack cocaine. Suspect, Curtis McDougald, 42, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, Possession of Class B and an outstanding default warrant for Larceny Over $250 and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
