Food Delivery Man Robbed in DorchesterLast night at about 11:01pm, officers assigned to District 3 responded to a call for an armed robbery report. The 51-year-old victim reported to the officers while making a food delivery on Browning Avenue in Dorchester he was robbed at gunpoint. The three suspects approached the victim in the car and took his money, food and cell phone. The suspects fled the scene. The victim was not injured.
Aggressive Panhandlers Arrested in Back Bay
Officers from District 4 arrested three individuals between 11:00am and 9:00pm yesterday in Boston’s Back Bay for aggressive panhandling. Police arrested Zachary Lane, 48, of Boston, Algia Benjamin, 45, of Cambridge, and Joseph Hill, 37, of Boston. All three will be arraigned today in the Boston Municipal Court.
Doorman Assaulted on Union Street
A doorman from a club on Union Street in Downtown reported to police that a patron assaulted him yesterday morning at 1:00am. The victim stated he entered the men’s room and found a 30-year-old female inside. When he ordered her out, she questioned why he was in there. She then proceeded to assault the victim. Officers observed visible injuries on the victim, the suspect fled before she could be identified.
Two Injured After Suspect Throws Concrete Block Through Window
This morning at 1:15am, officers from District 1 responded to Congress and North Streets on a report of a fight. When the officers arrived they observed several people restraining Daniel Kenney, 23, of Dorchester on the ground. According to witnesses, Kenney threw a concrete block through a window at McFadden’s Saloon striking two people. Both victims were treated on scene by Boston EMS for minor injuries. Kenney will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Willful and Malicious Destruction of Property.
