Yesterday morning officers from District 7 responded to 217 Paris Street on a report of a double stabbing. Information received by Homicide Detectives in the course of this investigation lead District 7 officers to the Massachusetts General Hospital this afternoon where they placed Joseph Cahill, 53, of East Boston under arrest. Cahill was one of the men injured in the altercation and is now charged with the stabbing of the other injured male that remains in serious condition at the Massachusetts General Hospital.Cahill will be arraigned tomorrow in the East Boston District Court where he will be charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
