Man Arrested After Stealing ShrimpYesterday at 4:40pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a Shoplifter at 460 Blue Hill Avenue (Stop and Shop). On arrival spoke with Loss Prevention who stated that the suspect had stolen four bags of shrimp on the previous day. Store security attempted to stop him but was unsuccessful. Today the suspect was seen stealing six bags of shrimp and two steaks. The suspect was observed placing the shrimp in shopping cart and walked out of the store without paying. Michael Dyette, 40, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.
Unarmed Robbery Lands Suspect in Jail
This morning around 1:28am, District 4 responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress at Lenox and Tremont Streets. The victim stated to officers that he was walking on Lenox Street when an unknown black male dressed in all black approached him and punched him in the face and mouth several times. The suspect took money from the victim’s pocket and fled on foot down Shawmut Avenue. Officers drove the victim around the block hoping to locate the suspect. The victim identified a suspect that was located on Lenox Street as the person who had robbed him. Randal Martin, 38, of Worcester was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery.
