M/V Infraction Leads to Arrest of Suspect with Replica FirearmYesterday around 2:15am, officers from District 1 on patrol observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a red light at Stuart St. and Washington St. Officers activated their lights and attempted to perform a traffic stop but suspect failed to stop for officers until the intersection of Kneeland St. and Tyler St. There, officers observed suspect making furtive movements reaching underneath the driver’s seat. The suspect was removed from the car and officers recovered what they initially believed to be a firearm. Further investigation revealed the firearm to be a pellet replica firearm. Suspect struggled with officers upon hearing that a firearm had been found in his car. Suspect, Joshua Perrin, 31, of Quincy was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop for Police, Resisting Arrest and numerous motor vehicle infractions.
Robbery Suspect Apprehended Barefoot
Yesterday around 8:55pm officers from District 18 were dispatched to 1187 Hyde Park Ave./Store 24 for a robbery in progress. While en route, officers received a description of the suspect as wearing a black trench coat with no shoes. Officers, shortly thereafter, observed an individual matching the suspect description running on Hyde Park Ave. and stopped him. The suspect was detained and brought back to the location of the robbery/Store 24 where the victim positively identified him as the person that robbed the store. Per victim the suspect walked up to the counter after being in the store for about 25 minutes, demanded money and fled the store with an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect, Miguel Lopez, 39, of Hyde Park, was arrested and charged with Unarmed Robbery.
Seven Eleven Store Robbed by Knife Wielding Suspect
Officers from District 2 this morning responded to 425 Brookline Ave./Seven Eleven Store for a person with a knife. There, officers spoke to the victim who reported that the suspect walked into the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes. The suspect then demanded that the victim open the register and give him the money while wielding a knife. Per victim, he opened the cash register and the suspect took an undetermined amount of cash, and a pack of cigarettes and fled the store. A search of the area for the suspect was unsuccessful.
