Six Summoned to Court for Gun Incident in Jamaica Plain

This afternoon at about 3:51pm, officers from District 13 responded to a radio call for a person with a gun on the roof of 30 Jamaica Way in Jamaica Plain. A witness reported to Boston 9-1-1 that there were three white males and one white female on the roof of that address armed with rifles. Numerous officers, detectives and supervisors from District 13 responded to the roof and located multiple firearms which appeared to be semi automatic assault rifles and hand guns lying on the roof by a small hut which was a staircase leading to apartments at that address. One suspect exited the hut and was ordered to the gun by police. Other individuals were found in the hut and ordered to the ground as well. A total of five males and one female were all secured and found not to be in possession of any additional firearms. All the firearms were investigated and determined to be black replica weapons.The six individuals admitted to police that were given permission to shoot a film on the roof. The suspects could not provide the officers the name(s) of anyone that granted them permission to film in the building. All six individual ranging in age from 17- 25 from Winchester, North Attleboro, Wellesley, and Plainville will be summoned to the West Roxbury District Court for Disturbing the Peace.
