Marshfield Resident Stabbed in BrightonLast night at 11:10pm, officers from District 14 responded to a report of a person stabbed at Birmingham Parkway and Lincoln Street. On arrival officers located a 44-year-old Marshfield resident suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made, the investigation continues.
Boston Police K-9 Takes a Bite Out of Crime
At approximately 8:52pm yesterday, officers from District 3 responded to 1410 Blue Hill Ave. in Mattapan for a breaking and entry in progress. On arrival, officers spoke to a witness who stated that he observed an individual climb into the above noted address by going through a side window. Officers secured all access and exit doors to the premises and sought to determine the presence of an intruder. The K-9 officer on arrival announced several times that the intruder, if inside, should come out or the dog would be released into the apartment. After getting no response to numerous requests, the dog was allowed in the apartment for a search. Shortly after entering the apartment, the dog located the hiding suspect and the suspect was placed under arrest. The suspect, Richardson Cantave, 29, of Randolph was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime.
