Police Investigate Donut Shop Robbery This morning at 6:11 officers from District 2 responded to 1524 Tremont Street on a report of a robbery in progress at Mike’s Donuts. On arrival the officers spoke with the victim who stated the suspect entered the donut shop armed with a wrench and jumped over the counter robbing the clerk. The suspect fled on foot toward Pontiac Street and remains at large.
Operation Squeeze Nets 4 Arrests in Roxbury
This morning officers from District 2 conducted Operation Squeeze. Operation Squeeze is an operation that is an organized plan using undercover officers as decoys to arrest prostitutes who are adversely affecting the quality of life in the city’s various neighborhoods. Police arrested Veronica Pruitt, 41, of Boston, Linda Bonifon, 42, of Roxbury, Tanya Malone, 44, of Dorchester and Michael Wright, 40, of Everett. All four were charged with Sex for a Fee and will be arraigned in the Roxbury District Court this morning.
Two Suspects Arrested After Stealing Car
Yesterday around 1:40pm officers of the Governor’s Auto Task Force working in West Roxbury tracked a Lojak signal to the area of Weld St. and Willow St. Further inquiry of the signal revealed it to be for a car reported stolen on 9/20/06 in Jamaica Plain. Officers located and set up surveillance on the stolen motor vehicle at the above location. After a short while officers observed two suspects use a key and enter the stolen car. The suspects proceeded to drive the car away when they were stopped and both suspects placed under arrest. Suspects, Harold J. Paulino, 21, of Jamaica Plain was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle. Suspect, Anthony J. Duggan, 25, of West Roxbury was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and two outstanding warrants.
