Three Arrested For Breaking and EnteringYesterday around 1:55pm, officers in District 18 responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering at 22 Ellard Road. Officers observed three black males walking away from the area of Ellard Road towards Westminster Street. Officers spoke with the caller who observed three black males go into the back yard of 22 Ellard Street, and then observed one of the males push the screen window open. Officer observed window screen partially open and porch window louver to be cracked. The caller positively identified the three suspects. Jean Payoute, 18, of Hyde Park and 2 juveniles ages 15 and 16 were arrested and charges with attempted Breaking and Entering.
Carjacking at Welles Avenue and Dorchester Avenue
Around 6:22pm, officers in District 11 responded to a radio call for a car jacking at 1749 Dorchester Avenue. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that he was cleaning his car and had all the doors open when four males jumped into his vehicle. The victim attempted to run up to the driver’s door and try to stop them from taking the vehicle, but was elbowed in the head. The suspect fled in the motor vehicle down Welles Avenue towards Talbot Avenue.
Vandalism at the Bell In Hand Tavern
This morning around 1:10am, officers in District 1 responded to a radio call for a fight behind the Bell in Hand Tavern at 45 Union Street. Officers spoke with the bar staff who stated that they asked a patron to leave the premise but he refused. The caller went on to state that when his friends attempted to remove him from the bar the window in the rear door was broken. The suspect did not believe that he broke the window but opted to pay for the damage.
