Construction Sites B&E’s in Boston

Boston Police Detectives are investigating separate incidents involving thefts of tools from construction sites. While several of the incidents involve thieves forcibly entering storage units, construction site mangers are still reminded to make sure their tools and other property are adequately secured.Incident One: Officers from District 7 in East Boston responded to a construction site yesterday morning at Porter and Orleans Streets on a report of a B&E. It is reported that and unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered their storage trailer and removed about $1250 worth of tools.
Incident two: Last night at 7:48pm, officers from District 6 in South Boston responded to a report of a Breaking and Entering at a construction site located at 300 Congress Street. On arrival the officers spoke with the victim who reported that unknown people cut the lock off the Sleeper Street gate and broke into three storage trailers. In one of the trailers, it is reported that about $5000 worth of tools were stolen.
Incident Three: District 11 police and detectives are investigating a B&E that occurred at 286 Highland Street in Dorchester between Sunday at 6:00pm and yesterday morning at about 4:45am. Officers were informed that three of the buildings at that address had been broken into. The officers discovered damage to a rear door as well as all installed copper pipes missing from building 286 and 292. As a result of these missing pipes, both basements were flooded with water.
