Armed Robbery At Columbus Avenue and W Walnut Park
Last night around 9:38pm, officers in District 13 responded to a radio call for a robbery at W Walnut Park and Columbus Avenue. On arrival officers observed one of the suspects whose description was broadcasted prior to arrival. Officers activated emergency lights and observed both suspects running. Once officers turned onto Bancroft Street they observed one of the suspects reach into his pocket and drop something. The second suspect was apprehended behind the firehouse and Columbus Avenue and Bragdon Street. The victim stated to officers that he was walking on Columbus Avenue when he was grabbed by both suspects and robbed of cash and jewelry. Martin Francisque, 25, of Roxbury charged with Intent to Rob While Armed, Unlawful Possession Of Firearm and Possession of Class B and Anthony Derkins, 28, of Everett charged with Intent to Rob While Armed and Possession of Class B. Officers did recover a firearm, drugs and the victim’s property from the suspect.
Shots Fired at 311 Wood Avenue
Last night around 9:58pm, officers in District 18 responded to a radio call for shots fired at 303 Wood Avenue. On arrival officers spoke with a witness who stated that she heard about three gunshots and looked out her window and observed an unknown person running on Wood Ave. Officers did recover ballistic evidence in front of 309 Wood Avenue. Officers also observed bullet holes in the wall of the front porch at 311 Wood Avenue. No reports of injuries have been reported at this time.
Breaking and Entering at 7 Shelby Street
Early this morning around 2:54am, officers in District 7 responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering at 7 Shelby Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, who stated that she attempted to unlock her door but discovered that the top deadbolt had been locked. The victim went on to state that she did not lock the lock prior to leaving. The victim stated that once inside of her apartment, she observed an individual near her refrigerator. The suspect fled the home threw the rear kitchen door. Officers did observe a torn window screen to the rear kitchen window. The victim reports play station and several games missing.
