At 8:42pm, officers in District 18 responded to a radio call for dog attack at 6 Pinedale Road. On arrival officers spoke with the victim and his mother who stated they were exiting her vehicle when a pit bull ran up to them and started attacking her son. The victim, 4 year-old was transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for scratches to his face. Further investigation revealed that the dog did not bite the victim, but the injuries were received when the dog jumped on him. Animal control responded to the scene but was unable to locate the dog.
