Person Shot at 51 Burrell StreetLate last night around 11:59pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 51 Burrell Street. On arrival officers observed the victim, a black male suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Firearm Arrest at Bowdoin and Draper Streets
This morning around 2am, officers in District 2 were traveling on Stonehurst Street toward Draper Streets, officers observed two vehicle traveling extremely slow and in close proximity of each other. Upon seeing the police both motor vehicle sped up and began traveling at normal speed. Officer activated their lights and siren to conduct an inquiry. Arrested was Al Baptista, 18, of Dorchester and Antonio Depina, 18, of Medford, both charged them with Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition. Officers did recover a gun and ammunition from the suspects
Four People Arrested After A Fight
Early this morning, officers in District 11 responded to a radio call for a fight at 209 E Cottage Street. On arrival officers spoke with the victims who stated that they were assaulted by a group of males. Officers observed several males running behind 718 Columbia Road. Dorchester residents Carlos Barbosa, 24, Mike Mehciz, 22, Hermitao Rosa, 22 were all arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Resisting Arrest. Also arrested was a 15-year-old juvenile. Two victims were transported to Boston Medical Center and treated for minor injures and the third victim refused medical attention.
