Shots Fired at Dunkeld and Quincy StreetsLast night around 7:40pm, officers in District 2 responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of Dunkeld and Quincy Streets. Officers did recover ballistic evidence at the scene. No reports of injuries and no damage to property have been reported at this time.
Man Arrested After Refusing to Stop for Police
About 10:10pm, officers in District 7 while on patrol observed a motor vehicle operating at a high rate of speed on Saratoga Street. Officers signaled for the operator to pull the vehicle to the side of the road. The operator failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Saratoga and Moore Streets, slowed down appearing to pull over for officers, but then speed up passing officers. When officers approached the vehicle they observed the drivers side of and the vehicle empty. Officers located the suspect hiding on Wordswoth Street. Rodrigo Mijangos, 19, of East Boston was arrested and charged with numerous violations of the auto laws.
Three Arrested For Affray Outside Downtown Club
About 2:10am, officers in District 1 while on patrol in the area of Stuart and Tremont Streets observed a large crowd in the parking lot of the Buzz Club. Officers observed some individuals in the crowd were combative and arguing with each other. Several arguments and fights broke out among the crowd. Stephanie Pena, 19, of South End, Christine Banks, 23, of Randolph, and Derrick Allen, 19, of Dorchester were all arrested and charged with Affray, Disorderly, and Disturbing the Peace.
Suspect Arrested in the South End with Loaded Firearm
This morning officers assigned to the District 4 anti-crime unit observed an individual in the W. Newton Street and Shawmut Avenue acting suspicious at 3:20am. The officers confronted the individual, and asked the individual to remove his hands from his pockets. The individual refused and the officers conducted a pat frisk and discovered a firearm in the suspect’s waist area. A violent struggle ensued and both officers were met with resistance from the suspect. Eventually, the officers were able to handcuff Angel Garcia, 31, of Boston. Garcia was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Ammunition, and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Monday morning at the Boston Municipal Court.
Officers Arrest Suspect with Load Firearm in Dorchester
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and officers from District 11 patrolling in the Adams Street area of Dorchester this morning at 1:45am, received information that a suspect was carrying a firearm. The officers observed the suspect enter a store on Adams Street and go to the Lottery kiosk. When the officers stopped the suspect, he did not have the plastic bag that officers observed him carrying when he entered the store. After a search of the lottery kiosk, officers discovered the white plastic bag with a loaded firearm in it. Officers arrested Edward Miles, 24, of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. He will be arraigned Monday morning at Dorchester District Court.
