Update: Dorchester Avenue Shooting At 1:13am on Friday July 21, officers in District 11 responded to a radio call for shots fired at 1921 Dorchester Avenue. On arrival officers discovered three male victims in their 20’s suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead and two others are in critical condition. The deceased victim has been identified as Hilary Page Green, 20, of Dorchester. His cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound and the manner of death ruled a homicide.
Update: Woolson Street Shooting
On July 19, 2006 around 11:29am, officers from District 3 responded to 14 Woolson Street in Mattapan for a report of a person shot. On arrival officers located the victim, a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim identified as, Gardy Joseph, 34, of Mattapan, was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound and the manner of death ruled a homicide.
Update: Norwell Street Shooting on March 10, 2006
Victim Succumbs to Injuries

On Friday March 10, 2006 officers in District 3 responded to the area of 9 Norwell Street, Dorchester for a person shot. On arrival they located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Derek Williams, 19, of Dorchester, was taken from the scene to Boston Medical Center for further treatment.
On Saturday July 22, 2006, Williams succumbed to his injuries. The cause of his death was determined to be complications related to the multiple gunshot wounds received on March 10th and today the manner of death was declared a homicide (making him Boston’s 44th of the year).
Boston Police Homicide detectives are investigating these deaths and ask anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470 or to remain anonymous call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS.
