Trio Arrested After Assault in South BostonOfficers in District 6 responded to a call for a group fighting with baseball bats at O Street and Swallow Street. As a result of an on-scene investigation, officers arrested Patrick Fumarola, 17, of Dorchester, Joseph McDonough, 20, of South Boston and a Juvenile, 16, of South Boston, charging them with Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon. The trio was allegedly doing drugs on the steps of a Swallow Street address and was asked to leave by a neighbor when they became confrontational. The exchange of words quickly escalated into a physical confrontation during which the three males armed themselves with baseball bats and a chain swinging them towards a male victim. All three were identified and taken into custody as they were walking away from the scene.
Mattapan Man Arrested Stealing Headlights
Officers in District 4 responded to the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Clarendon Street at 1:26am this morning on a report of two males stealing headlights off a parked car. A description of the suspects was given to officers and one of the suspects was seen running on Beacon Street. Officers caught 20-yer-old Hector Perez as he ran across Beacon Street and the second suspect made good his escape. Officers did locate a Nissan parked on Commonwealth Avenue with its headlights missing. A search of the area was made and the missing headlights were located in a bush outside 51 Commonwealth Avenue.
