Man Arrested For Trafficking DrugsLast night at 7:00pm, officers assigned to District 2 Drug Control Unit arrest Everton Bowens, 22, of Gloucester and charged with trafficking cocaine after he accepted delivery of the package containing over 200 grams of the drugs. On July 3, Boston officers received information from Customs and Border Protection Agents that a package with two computers hard drives containing cocaine was discovered during inspection. An initial investigation revealed that the package originated from Guyana and was being shipped to an address in Boston. Boston Police, working in conjunction with Postal Inspectors, set in motion a controlled delivery of the package. Surveillance of the delivery area was set up when suspect arrived at the target location, 6 Moreland Street, Roxbury. The suspect accepted delivery of the package. Once the delivery was complete officers announced their presence and converged on the suspect. Officers seized approximately 500 grams of cocaine, undisclosed amount of US currency, a scale, and drug packaging materials.
Loose Change Lands Man in Jail
This morning officers in District 11 observed a male running from the Sunoco station at Dorchester Avenue and Freeport Street. At the same time, officers observed three men waving and yelling for the officers to pursue the male running. The victim was inside Peggy O’Neill’s bar when he observed the suspect inside of his motor vehicle. The victim\’s motor vehicle sustained damage to the center console and an undermined amount of change was taken. Michael Sullivan,19, of Quincy was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Larceny Over $250 and Destruction of Personal Property. Officers did recover some of the coins and the victim’s credit card.
