Triple Shooting in DorchesterThis morning shortly after mid night, officers from District 11 responded to 217 Bowdoin Street on a report of person shot. On arrival, the officers discovered three people had been shot. All three victims were transported to various Boston hospitals where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. District 11 Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
Man Assaulted in Public Gardens
At approximately 12:25 this morning, a 43-year-old Boston man was walking through the Public Gardens when a known suspect approached him about money that was owed to him. When the victim refused to give him the money, the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him. The victim fled the scene and called the police. Police were able to find the suspect at a local bar and the victim properly identified him as Ronal Letts, 20, of Milton. He was arrested and charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. Later, officers also discovered Letts also had two outstanding warrants. He will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court.
Woman Stabbed in Dorchester
Officers from District 3 responded to Whitfield and Dunlap Streets early this morning for a radio call of a person stabbed. On arrival, officers observed the victim with various stab wounds on her back and neck. The victim, a 21-year-old Dorchester woman, told the officers that the suspect went into a resident on Dunlap Street. Officers found the suspect and placed her into custody. Sequoia Varona, 18, of Hyde Park, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
