On June 24, 2006 at about 10:17pm, officers from District 11 responded to Levant Street and Tebroc Street in Dorchester for a report of a person shot. On arrival officers located the victim, a black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim identified as Craig Smith, 34, of Dorchester was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.Boston Police Homicide Detectives continue to investigate this incident and urge anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470 or to remain anonymous by calling the Boston Police Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS
