Dedham Man Arrested with Gun After Street RobberyOfficers from District 4 and a Mass State Trooper arrested 31-year-old Shondel Stoner of Dedham at about 2:50am this morning charging him with armed robbery. Officers were called to Tremont and Lenox Streets for a robbery report and were informed that a State Trooper had a suspect in custody. According to the male victim, while standing at the bus stop at Tremont Street and Douglass Park, Stoner approached him from behind and displayed a gun demanding money. The victim handed over some cash and Stoner walked away. The Trooper was flagged down by the victim and stopped the suspect until Boston officers arrived. Officers recovered the victim’s money from the suspect and a loaded 380 handgun was also recovered. Stoner will be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court for the robbery and illegal gun charges.
Westwood Man Arrested After Lil Peach Robbery
Officers in District 5 responded to 7 Spring Street for a robbery in progress at the Lil Peach convenience store. As officers arrived they observed a male suspect running behind 15 Spring Street. The officers followed the suspect behind the gas station when he turned towards the officers exposing a knife with an open blade sticking out of his pants. The officers, using tremendous restraint ordered the suspect to the ground. The suspect, Stephen Kirby, 42, of Westwood, was arrested and the knife recovered. Also recovered was a bag containing 5 cartons of cigarettes and cash taken during the robbery. Kirby will face a judge today in West Roxbury District Court.
Trio Arrested Possessing Gun with Obliterated Serial Numbers
Officers in District 11 responded for a person with a knife call at 90 Rosseter Street at 11:21pm last evening. Investigating officers were directed to a vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Camry with three occupants. The operator of the car Elias Delacruz, 39, of Roxbury appeared intoxicated and was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol. During the inquiry a loaded Smith and Wesson 380 handgun was recovered inside the car. Two other passengers, Israel Delacruz, 28, of Roxbury and Terry Keith, 32 of Mattapan, were also arrested in connection with the gun and drug charges. All three will be in Dorchester District Court today.
Bike Patrol Arrest Nine and Recover Two Loaded Guns
At 8:14pm last night officers assigned to the Tactical Bicycle Unit were patrolling the area of Almont Park in Mattapan. They observed a group of nine males inside the basketball courts drinking from beer bottles and other alcohol drinks. Upon further investigation, officers discovered two loaded guns, one equipped with a laser site, wrapped in a t-shirt next to the group. Immediately the group began to run from the officers in an attempt to flee. Additional officers from District 3 assisted the bike officers and all nine men were arrested after a brief pursuit. Mateo Portlock, 20, of Boston was charged with the illegal possession of the guns. Others arrested for drinking in public included; Eric Davis, 22, of Dorchester, Rashad Greaves, 28, of Jamaica Plain, David Coleman, 19, of Dorchester and four juvenile males from Boston.
