Robbery Suspect Found Hiding Behind TreeOfficers from District 2 responded to and armed robbery call at about 8:13pm last night in Washington Park at Dale Street and Regent Street in Roxbury. According to the victim she was approached by two males armed with a gun that robbed her of money and personal belongings. Responding officers observed a suspect matching the description given by officers hiding behind a tree on Walnut Avenue. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was caught and positively identified by the victim. Marcus Dozier, 35, of Roxbury will be charged with the robbery and drug charges. The second suspect remains at-large.
Seven Arrested At East Boston Party
Police were called to 176 Everett Street around 8:31pm last night for a large group of males partying and drinking outside. Officers observed a group of males in the field drinking beer and playing music very loudly. Several neighbors informed the police that this is a regular occurrence. As the officers approached the group they began to yell at the officers threatening to resort to physical violence if the officers tried to break up their get together. Backup was called and the oh so brave partygoers were now outnumbered by the boys in blue. After several attempts by officers to have the music turned off and the crown disperse seven men including the homeowner and his son, were arrested for disorderly conduct. Those arrested were; Edward Ascolillo, 54, and Edward Ascolillo Jr., 30, of East Boston, John Frisco, 35, of Saugus, Michael Melito, 33, of Melrose, Kevin Ryan, 38, of Norwell, Alfred Gardner, 27, of Medford and John Dunderdale, 39, of Revere. All will be in east Boston Court on Monday morning.
