Three People Arrested for Drug TraffickingYesterday afternoon around 2:45pm, members of the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force along with members from Boston Police Investigation Unit made three on-sight arrests from information previously received at 718 American Legion Highway. The officers arrested Anibal Parilla, 51, of Mattapan, Angel Tavares, 37, of Roslindale and Alexis Ayala, 44, of Roxbury for Trafficking Cocaine in Excess of 200 Grams.
Three Arrested for Kidnapping Charges
While in the area of Dorchester Street and Old Colony Avenue yesterday at approximately 4:40pm, officers from District 6 observed a green Chevrolet Blazer that fit the description of a vehicle that was just broadcasted over the radio for a kidnapping. When the Blazer was pulled over, officers spoke to the victim in the backseat, who stated she was forced into the car against her will. The victim further stated she didn’t know the two men in the front seat but the man next to her was her friend’s boyfriend. All three suspects, Robert Kelly, 39, of Winthrop, Robert Vanbuskirk, 35, of Medford and Brian Deveau, 31, of South Boston were arrested and charged with Kidnapping.
Armed Robbery at Tremont Street and Rutland Street
Yesterday about 5:40pm officers in District 4 responded to a radio call for shots fired at Rutland and Tremont Streets. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim, who stated that a group of six males and two females tried to take his Nintendo DS. Victim stated that he was knocked to the ground and was kicked and punched by several suspects. The victim went on to state that while he was on the ground one of the suspect placed a knife to his neck and he also observed a gun in the waistband of another suspect. The suspect, a 14-year-old male from Boston, was placed under arrest and charged with Armed Robbery and Assault by Means of Dangerous weapon.
Gun Recovered from Norfolk Street
Last evening at 9:45pm, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force responded to 52 Evans Street for a call of shots fired. Officers observed a group of individuals standing on Norfolk Street in the general vicinity for the call and began questioning them. However, the group fled in separate directions and was unable to be found. While searching the area, officers recovered a firearm and secured it as evidence. The incident remains under investigation.
