Probation Check Leads to Drug Arrest

While serving a Probation Violation Warrant on Georgia Street last night at 6:05pm, officers from District 2 and Probation Officers arrested four individuals inside that address. While searching the apartment for the suspect, Akiel Civil, 21, of Roxbury, the officers found large quantities of marijuana within the apartment and arrested three other individuals present at the time. David McLean, 24, Shakeba Roberts, 23, both of Roxbury and Oral Swaby, 34, of Pawtucket, R.I., were arrested on a variety of Possession of Class D charges. Civil, upon knowing the officers were there for his arrest, broke into a separate apartment in the building and hid in the closet. He was arrested and charged with Unarmed Burglary, Breaking and Entering with Intent to Commit a Felony and Resisting Arrest.
