Y.M.C.A. Locker Broken Into and Victim’s Property Stolen To prove to his wife it happened this way, we had to post this incident. A Brighton man reports that he placed his street clothes and personal items in his locker and then placed a lock on the locker. When he returned after a couple hours of working out, he discovered his locker had another lock on it. The victim, along with employees from the gym removed the lock and found his street clothes in the locker. However the victim reports the suspect(s) removed his wallet, credit cards, $130.00 in U. S. Currency and his wedding band he placed in his wallet.
Suspect Arrested with a Loaded Firearm at One International Place
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Leopoldo Andrade, 23, of Dorchester on Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm when they observed him at One International Place in downtown Boston. Andrade was arrested on an outstanding Massachusetts Parole Warrant. While officers were handcuffing the suspect, they discovered a firearm in his pocket. Officers recovered a loaded firearm with altered serial numbers. The suspect was charged with: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with Altered Serial Numbers, Unlawful Possession of ammunition and a Parole Violation. He will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court.
Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Firearms Arrest in Roxbury
Yesterday morning at about 11:17, members of the Governor’s Auto Theft Strike Force observed a vehicle at Blue Hill Avenue and Esmond Street operating at about 60-65 mph. The vehicle came to a stop on Normandy Street where a Massachusetts State Trooper and numerous Boston Officers approached the suspect vehicle. The driver was unable to produce a driver’s license, and his registration was to a rental agency with no rental agreement to compliment the registration. When the suspect was asked to exit the vehicle, he attempted to escape from the Trooper. When the suspect was stopped, the Trooper discovered a firearm in the suspect’s front pocket. With other members of the Task Force, the suspect, Korrie McIntyre, 29, of Dorchester was placed under arrest. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Speeding, Operating After Suspension and Using a Motor Vehicle without Authority.
Two Allston Men Shot in Brighton
Officers from District 14 responded to Lincoln and Antwerp Streets this morning on a report of a person shot at 1:34am. On arrival, officers discovered a 28-year-old male from Allston suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. The victim was transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center were he is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Minutes later, officers were notified that a second victim was found at 16 Lawrence Street with a gunshot wound to the chest. This victim was transported to the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital where his condition is considered non-life threatening. Detectives are currently investigating this incident and ask anyone with information about these two shootings to contact the Crime Stoppers Unit at 800-494-TIPS.
Defective Headlight Leads to Gun Arrest
While on patrol at Commonwealth Avenue and Washington Street last night at approximately 1:20am, officers pulled over a motor vehicle for having a defective right headlight. The driver of the vehicle was acting nervously so the officers asked him to exit the vehicle. When they glanced into the SUV, they observed a firearm in plain sight on the console. The suspect failed to show a license to carry such a weapon, so he was arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and a Firearm. Kawana Tillman, 34, of Hyde Park will be arraigned this morning in the Brighton District Court.
