Last night around 6:30pm officers in District 6 responded to Fargo Street and Summer Street in South Boston for a motor vehicle accident. Officers located the victim, a 45-year-old male from South Boston lying on the center island suffering from multiple bone fractures. According to the victim and a witness, they were riding motorcycles along Summer Street and became involved in an argument with a motorist in a car. The argument continued and ended with the vehicle operator forcing the victim off the road throwing him from his motorcycle. The suspect then fled the scene without making himself known. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center.Boston Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the hit and run driver. He is described as a white male, driving a newer model silver colored Mazda. Anyone who may have been in the area last night or who may have information that would assist in the identification of this driver is asked to contact District 6 Detectives at 617-343-4742.
