The magical sounds of bagpipes and drums will fill the halls and rooms of the Franciscan Children\’s Hospital as members of the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums perform at their favorite annual event of the year. On March 17, 2006 at 8:00am, the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums will bring their music and marching to the children of the Franciscan Children’s Hospital, located on 30 Warren Street in Brighton. This annual tradition of the Gaelic Column is an event enjoyed by staff of the hospital and most importantly the children.Many of the children at the Hospital will be unable to join the festivities in South Boston and enjoy the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 19, 2006. With the music of the Pipes and Drums, the spirit St. Patrick’s Day and Ireland will be celebrated at this wonderful Hospital, which is dedicated to excellence in the provision of rehabilitative, developmental, medical, educational and psychosocial services to infants, children, adolescents and adults with special needs in the local community and beyond.
