16 Year Old Gets SockedOfficers from District 11 responded to 17 Olney Street last night for a person with a gun. However, when they arrived at the scene, they found two juveniles who had engaged in a physical brawl after a verbal dispute. The two were arguing when the suspect, a juvenile who lived in Dorchester, claimed he had a firearm. When the victim attempted to disarm the suspect of his weapon, the suspect pulled out a can opener and cut the victim above his left eye with the weapon. Then the suspect pulled out a sock filled with various stones and struck the victim in the head with it. The suspect was questioned, and officers observed him to only be wearing one sock. The officers seized the can opener and stone-filled sock as evidence and arrested the juvenile for Assault and Battery charges. The victim declined medical attention.
Texaco Star Robbed on Huntington Avenue
Last night at approximately 10:20pm, officers responded to a radio call at the Texaco Star gas station on Huntington Avenue for an armed robbery. Upon arrival, the victim reported that an unknown suspect entered the store, showed a firearm in his right hand and ordered the clerk to give him the money. The victim obliged before the suspect fled the store down Huntington Avenue. The victim described the suspect as a 20 to 22-year-old black male, between 5’6” and 5’7” and wearing mirrored sunglasses, blue jeans and carrying a blue bag.
Police Arrest Man in Area of Recent Car Breaks
Officers in Back Bay were on directed patrol last night around 12:30am for an array of Breaking and Entering incidents to motor vehicles. In the area of Berkeley Street and Columbus Avenue, the officers observed two white males walking up and down Berkeley Street near several parked vehicles. The suspects were stopped and identified. One of the suspects, 39-year-old Charles Deminico from Revere, had two default warrants for Shoplifting and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. He was taken to District 4 for booking, the other suspect was released.
Drug Deal Gone Bad
A 27-year-old man walked into Massachusetts General Hospital last night around 1:30am with stab wounds. When police arrived, the man reported that he was on the corner of Arlington and Beacon Streets when the suspect exited a green Jeep and approached him, looking to purchase cocaine. While he was speaking to the victim, the suspect became agitated and pulled out a large knife and started stabbing him. The victim sustained wounds to his back and arm but the injuries were non-life threatening.
Mass Ave Store 24 Robbed
Early this morning at 4:00am, officers from District 4 responded to the Store 24 at 141 Massachusetts Avenue for an armed robbery. The clerk working at the store reported that while he was in the back of the store, two unknown white males entered the store and moved behind the cashier’s counter. When the victim confronted the suspects, one of the males pulled a knife out and threatened the clerk. The victim attempted to scare off the suspects, resulting in the suspects fleeing the scene. No arrest was made and the investigation continues.
