On Tuesday, March 14, 2006, Boston Police arrested Ricardo G. Paul, a 22-year-old Hyde Park resident, for rape. Paul’s arrest stems from a case that occurred on Wednesday, March 8, 2006. The suspect then drove the victim to a location in West Roxbury, where the sexual assault occurred. A second similar sexual assault occurred on March 13, 2006. Although currently not charged with the second assault, an investigation to determine whether there is any connection between Paul and that incident is ongoing.Members of the Sexual Assault Unit, Youth Violence Strike Force, the BRIC (Boston Regional Intelligence Center) and the State Police worked together in the investigation that led to the identification of Paul as the suspect. Paul will be arraigned tomorrow at Dorchester District Court and charged with four (4) counts of Aggravated Rape and one (1) count of kidnapping.
