Medford Man Arrested Selling Drugs in CharlestownLast night Officers assigned to the District 1 Drug Control Unit arrested Daniel Feeney, 24, of Medford at 218 Main Street in Charlestown. Feeney was observed selling Oxycontin to an individual at the Mishawam Development. The buyer will be summonsed to Charlestown Court; Feeney was arrested and charged with Distribution of Class B and distribution of Class B within 1000 feet of a school zone. He will be arraigned in the Charlestown Division of the Boston Municipal Court This morning.
Armed Robbery in Dorchester
Last night at approximately 11:00pm, officers responded to 1151 Washington Street for an armed robbery call. The victim reported that as he was preparing to close the store, an unknown black male, about 35 years old, entered the store and demanded the clerk’s money by flashing a gun on his waist. After the victim complied, the suspect fled on foot. He was seen wearing a black baseball cap and a black jacket. Surveillance video of the incident will be handed over to Boston Police for further investigation.
Drug Unit Arrests Four for Trafficking Cocaine
Members of the District 11 and Citywide Drug Control Units were conducting a drug investigation last night in the area of 224 Quincy Street in Dorchester. During the course of the investigation, officers arrested Alejandro Pineda, 26, of Monterey, California and Octavio Salgado, 29, of Northcross, Georgia. As a result of these arrests, officers recovered 6 kilograms of cocaine. Both suspects were transported to a Boston Police station and booked. Armed with additional information, the members of the drug unit responded to a location in Somerville and arrested Jose Goicochea, 39, and Jose Mojica, 29, both of Atlanta, Georgia. All four are charged with Trafficking Class B Drugs and Trafficking Class B Drugs within 1000 feet of the Quincy E. Dickerman Elementary School.
Officers Seize Air Gun in South Boston
Officers responded to the Boys and Girls Club yesterday on West Broadway for the removal of an air gun. A 12-year-old told police that his 11-year-old brother hid a BB gun in the alley. The officers seized the gun from the location.
Four Arrested on Assault and Battery Charges
Police from District 2 responded to a radio call yesterday at 5:23pm at 262 Dudley Street in Roxbury for an Assault and Battery. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the victims who stated they were outside of a barbershop in Roxbury when a red van pulled up next to them. The four suspects exited the car and approached the three victims, carrying knives and a baseball bat. One of the suspects swung the bat at the victim’s car, breaking the driver’s side window. The victims fled on foot and the suspects briefly pursued them before getting in their vehicle and leaving. The victims led officers to an address on Woodbine Street in Roxbury, where officers arrested all four suspects and seized knives, razors and a baseball bat that were hidden in the backyard. The victims refused medical attention and the four suspects were arrested and transported to District 2 for booking. Arrested were: Evelio Fuentes, 24, Edwin Campbell, 23, Russell Campbell, 34, all of Roxbury and Edgard Campbell, 23, of South Boston. They will all be arraigned in the Roxbury District Court and charged with Intent to Rob while Armed, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Destruction of Personal Property,
Woman Robbed at Dorchester Store 24
A woman walking to her car after leaving the Sumner Street Store 24 in Dorchester was robbed last night. Police responded to the scene and spoke to the victim, who stated that an unknown black man about 25 years old with no facial hair, wearing a navy blue jacket and dark pants, grabbed her purse and ripped it from her shoulder. While she struggled with the suspect, he was able to obtain her purse and flee the scene. Officers searched the area for the suspect or the purse but did not find anything.
