Roxbury Traffic Stop Nets Gun, Two ArrestsMembers of the Youth Violence Strike Force conducted a car stop in the area of Dudley Street and Burgess Street early yesterday morning. Officers recognized two of the occupants from previous firearm arrests and made observations of them consistent with attempting to conceal a gun. Officers removed 19-year-old Paul Thompson and 20-year-old Orlando Sharpe, both of Roxbury from the car and discovered a loaded .25 caliber Beretta inside the vehicle. Thompson was arrested on an outstanding warrant and Sharpe was arrested and charged with the illegal possession of the firearm.
Girl Arrested After South Boston Stabbing
A South Boston Girl was arrested around 12:15am this morning after being identified as the perpetrator of a stabbing. Officers from C-6 met the victim at Boston Street and Ellery Street suffering from a stab wound to the left arm. The 20-year-old male victim reported that Bailey Kimball, 18 stabbed him, and she was now walking on nearby Dorchester Avenue. Kimball was picked up by officers and brought back to the scene and identified by the victim. She was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. A knife was recovered.
4 Arrested at Mission Hill Party
Officers from District 2 responded to 15 Copenger Street for people fighting around 12:35am this morning. They arrived to find a large party of about 150 people drinking and acting disorderly. The party was cleared and four individuals hosting the party were arrested for Keeping a Disorderly House. Jeffrey Leblanc, 20, Christopher Shank, 20, Derek Shore, 20, and Christopher Congdon, 20 will all be in Roxbury District Court on Tuesday morning.
Gun, Drugs Recovered Post Dorchester Car Stop
Officers in District 11 observed a car fail to stop for a red light at Quincy Street and Columbia Road at about 1:10am this morning. After stopping the vehicle the officers discovered a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun inside the passenger compartment. The driver of the car 30-year-old Omario McConnico of Roxbury was arrested for not being licensed to carry the firearm. Officers also recovered an amount of crack cocaine from McConnico. Arraignment is Tuesday in Roxbury District Court.
