Boston Police Incidents for January 19, 2006

Two Dorchester Juveniles Arrested for RobberyAt 5:33pm, January 18, 2006 officers from District 11 responded to 172 Ashmont Street to meet two victims of a robbery. Officers spoke with the victims who stated that while walking along Ashmont Street they were approached by two males, one of whom motioned that he had a gun in his pocket, and robbed the victims of cash and jewelry. A description of the suspects was broadcast and police apprehended them on nearby Bailey Street. No weapon was recovered, however all of the victim’s property was returned. Both Juveniles will be arraigned today in Dorchester District Court for Armed Robbery.
Newton Man Charged with OUI after Failing to Stop for Officers
A Sergeant from District 1 observed a gray Audi traveling the wrong way on Broadway Street just after midnight this morning. While approaching the car the operator, 31-year-old Joel Wladkowski of Newton, backed up and took off eventually getting onto the Mass Pike. Massachusetts State Police, Newton Police and Watertown Police were notified and Wladkowski was caught after he jumped from his car in Newton, just off Exit 17. After a violent struggle, the officers were able to apprehend Wladkowski. He is charged with numerous motor vehicle violations and Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Rogers Park Fight Leaves One Injured
Officers from District 14 responded to Roger\’s Park yesterday at 1:45pm for a report of a group of people fighting. On arrival they observed a group fighting on Foster Street by the Park. A 13-year-old male sustained a laceration to his ear and swelling to the eye. The victim refused medical attention.
