Boston and State Police Arrest Suspect in North End FightOfficers from District 1 responded to a radio call last night at 10:47 for a large fight behind the liquor store on Cross Street. On arrival, the officers observed two State Troopers interviewing three individuals. According to the Trooper, while performing a paid detail, he heard a person screaming for help behind the liquor store. Further investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were fighting when the suspect hit the victim with a piece of wood and kicked him. The victim was transported to the Massachusetts General Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, Danye Thomas, 41, of Boston was arrested and will be arraigned today in the Boston Municipal Court.
Back Bay Resident’s Identity Stolen on Internet
A 51-year-old Back Bay resident reported to police that yesterday morning while on-line she was asked to verify her personal information. The victim disclosed her credit card number, date of birth, social security number, and mother’s maiden name. Thirty minutes later, someone attempted to make purchases on her credit card.
Home Invasion on Willis Street in Dorchester
Last night at 11:29, officers responded to 40 Willis Street on a report of a home invasion. Officers spoke with the victim who reports three suspects armed and masked broke into the dwelling demanding money and drugs. The victim states that he was struck in the face with a firearm by one of the suspects. He refused medical attention. The suspects fled the scene and no arrests were made.
Roslindale Square Armed Robbery
Shortly after midnight this morning, officers from District 5 responded to 1 Corinth Street in Roslindale for an armed robbery. Officers found a 17-year-old male who stated that he was robbed by two suspects who stole an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before they fled on foot up Washington Street toward Dedham.
