Two Suspects Arrested in Charlestown for CarjackingThis morning at 12:56, two 16-year-old males from Charlestown were arrested for delinquency to wit: kidnapping and armed car jacking. The 29-year-old victim from Weston reports that four suspects armed with knives forced him to drive them from 140 Main Street to Carney Court where they robbed him. The victim was not injured; the case is still under investigation.
Suspects Arrested Fighting and Damaging Cruiser
Officers from District 1 on patrol in the Stuart and Tremont Street area, observed Chester Williams, 27, of Jamaica Plain and Clayton Howard, 21, of Mattapan engaged in a fight in the middle of the street. Officers attempted to separate suspects to no avail. The suspects continued to fight slamming into the side of the officer’s cruiser damaging the side view mirror and damaging the door. Both were arrested and will be arraigned this morning.
Firearm Recovered in Roxbury
Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force and the U.S. Marshals recovered a firearm with obliterated serial numbers under a dumpster in the area of Fairland Street and Mount Pleasant Avenue. The firearm was recovered by officers while working “Operation Homesafe” at 12:15 this morning. The firearm was forwarded to the Ballistic Unit.
25-year-old Male from Somerville Shot
Police from District 2 responded to 9 Stoughton Street this morning at 1:16 for a report of shots fired. On arrival officers found a 25-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. According to witnesses, the victim was shot outside the bar. He was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Two Arrested in South End for Drug Charges
Albert Gianninni, 19, and Robert Maines, 23, both of Abington, were arrested by members of the District 4 Drug Control Unit last night at 5:30. The officers observed the two involved in a drug transaction behind the firehouse on Tremont Street. They were later stopped at Washington Street and Cass Boulevard where they were found to be in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles. They will both be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court this morning.
