Search Warrant Nets Guns, Drugs and AmmunitionOn Monday January 9, 2006, at 0715hrs, members of the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force along with agents from the United States Marshals, arrested 27-year-old Carl Pierre-Louis of Mattapan, inside 7 Old Morton Street, on two outstanding warrants. Pierre-Louis was wanted for an incident that occurred in November of 2003 where he was found in possession of a firearm. He was also wanted for a courthouse incident where he intimidated witnesses, including a police officer, and fled the court before his case was heard.
Subsequent to the arrest, a search warrant was executed on the residence. Inside, officers recovered 3 guns, a 9mm Taurus, a .380 caliber Walther, and a 357 Ruger. Over 100 rounds of ammunition were also recovered as well as approximately 124 grams of cocaine packaged for sale. Pierre-Louis was arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court charged with: Intimidating a Witness, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (4 counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Trafficking Class B (Cocaine).
Robbery Suspect Caught by Witnesses
At 1157hrs January 10, 2006, officers from District 13 responded to 62 Montebello Road, Jamaica Plain, for a robbery suspect being held by witnesses. According to the victim, she was punched and dragged by 51-year-old Carl Pettijohn of Mattapan, as he tried to take her purse. Witnesses from a nearby auto service center heard the victim’s call for help and chased and captured Pettijohn. He was held until police arrived and taken into custody. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center for injuries to her face, hands and knees. Arraignment is in West Roxbury District Court today for Unarmed Robbery and Resisting Arrest.
Walgreens Robbery Foiled by Security Guard
At 1905hrs January 10, 2006, officers from District 4 went to 841 Boylston Street for a robbery in progress at Walgreens. Officers were informed that a male, later identified as 36-year-old Anthony Harris, entered the store armed with a gun, handcuffed the store manager in a back room, and demanded money from the safe. Two employees from the store, one a security guard, the other a clerk, confronted Harris as he tried to leave the store and a struggle ensued. The clerk was able to disarm Harris of what turned out to be a replica firearm and both held Harris on the ground until the arrival of the police. Harris suffered injuries to his head as a result of the botched robbery attempt and was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment. He was arrested at the hospital and charged with Armed Robbery and Kidnapping. Arraignment will be at a later date due to Harris’ hospital stay.
Mattapan Youth Arrested Carrying a Loaded Gun
At 1550hrs January 10, 2006, member of the Youth Violence Strike Force stopped a group of males on Greenfield Street in Mattapan. One of the males, 17-year-old Marcsene Torchon of Mattapan attempted to flee and was caught by officers. Officers recovered a fully loaded 9mm Ruger Handgun from Torchon. He was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm and Ammunition.
Roxbury Traffic Stop Nets Gun and Drugs
At 0241hrs January 11, 2006, officers from District 2 Stopped a vehicle on Devon Street in Roxbury for several traffic violations. The driver of the car, 28-year-old Gerome Adams of Mattapan, was found to be in possession what officers believed to be marijuana in his pocket. Adams was arrested and a search of his 1998 Volvo S70, revealed a loaded .45 caliber Taurus handgun in the glove compartment. Adams is charged with Unlawful Possession of the Gun and Ammunition, Possession of Class D, and Operating Under the Influence of Drugs.
