Male Suffers From Non-Life Threatening Gun Shot Wound in RoxburyA 21-year-old male reported to police that while walking home at 15:07 last night, five unknown suspects started shooting at him at the corner of Dudley Street and Brooks Avenue. Boston EMS responded and treated the victim who was transported to the Boston Medical Center and treated for a GSW to the leg. His injury is considered non-life threatening. No arrest has been made.
Hit and Run Leaves 11-year-old Injured
Police from District 11 responded to Clarkson and Quincy Street last night at about 20:00 to investigate a hit and run. Officers found an 11-year-old male from Cranston, RI suffering from injuries after an unknown vehicle struck him while he was crossing the Street. The suspect fled toward Columbia Road without stopping. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center.
Fugitive Arrested in Jamaica Plain
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Joel Arroyo, 23, of Jamaica Plain last night at about 16:55 at 723 Centre Street. Arroyo was wanted out of Broward County, Florida on drug charges. He will be arraigned today and charged as a Fugitive from Justice.
Officer Injured After Arresting Suspect with Firearm
An officer assigned to District 2 suffered a minor injury after arresting Deangelo Taldon, 19, of Hyde Park last night at bout 18:44. Officers observed the suspect in the area of Erie Street and Sever Street in Dorchester and when officers discovered a firearm on the suspect he pushed away the officer and a violent struggle ensued. He will be arraigned this morning.

Brighton Resident Arrested in Stolen Motor Vehicle

Last night at 19:24, officers from District 14 responded to 2 Oakland Street in Brighton on a report of a fight. On arrival, officers found Kenneth Parker, 19, of Brighton being restrained by witnesses. Further investigation by the officers revealed the suspect, operating a stolen motor vehicle, struck three parked motor vehicles on Foster Street and fled the scene. The suspect was also found to be in possession of a 10’ double edge knife, burglarious tools, and an open container of alcohol. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Parker will be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
