In compliance with BPD Rule 335, Section 10, which reads in part: "The total number of individuals and groups included in the Associative Violence Information System and a summary of audits conducted will be released publicly on the Department's website annually. By January 31st of each year, the BRIC will report to the Police Commissioner the total number of individuals added to and removed from the System in the previous calendar year. These totals will then be released to the public."
2025
Between Jan 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025, 94 individuals were added to the BPD Associative Violence Information System and 252 individuals were removed from the BPD Associative Violence Information System in accordance with the procedures detailed in BPD Rule 335. Additionally, at the start of 2026, there were 1,567 individuals and 80 groups represented in the Associative Violence Information System.
2024
Between Jan 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024, 67 individuals were added to the BPD Gang Assessment Database and 169 individuals were removed from the BPD Gang Assessment Database in accordance with the procedures detailed in BPD Rule 335. Additionally, in the spirit of increased transparency, we can report that at the start of 2025, there were 1,704 individuals and 79 groups represented in the Gang Assessment Database.
2023
Between Jan 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, 111 individuals were added to the BPD Gang Assessment Database and 161 individuals were removed from the BPD Gang Assessment Database in accordance with the procedures detailed in BPD Rule 335. Additionally, in the spirit of increased transparency, we can report that at the start of 2024, there were 1,795 individuals and 85 groups represented in the Gang Assessment Database.
2022
Between Jan 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022, 167 individuals were added to the BPD Gang Assessment Database and 1,836 individuals were removed from the BPD Gang Assessment Database in accordance with the procedures detailed in BPD Rule 335.
2021
Between Jan 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021, 59 individuals were added to the BPD Gang Assessment Database and 609 individuals were removed from the BPD Gang Assessment Database.
